Christopher Bowen is an award-winning photographer based in Glasgow, specialising in portrait (human and canine), commercial, sports and fitness images.
His wide range of clients include The National Theatre of Scotland and Scottish Opera, along with creative agencies, commercial companies like Bluebuck underwear and last, but definitely not least, there’s the beautiful pack of dogs.
Sporting commissions include being the principal photographer for the multi-award winning Glasgow 2015 World Gymnastic Championships and the Glasgow 2018 European Championship campaigns.
Other awards include the Lothian Health Board’s ‘HIV Comeback Tour’, which won the CIB Scotland Award for Best Use of Photography and the Gold Award for Best Campaign.
Thanks to Christopher’s previous career as an arts journalist, knowing what works well for the press really is second nature, with his photographs being published in The Times, Time Out, The Guardian, Orient Express Magazine, San Francisco Chronicle, The Scotsman and Scotland on Sunday.
