Case Study : The Slumber Sisters

Creating the campaign image for The Slumber Sisters presented an unusual challenge: none of the cast were available for the photoshoot. Instead, the play's director gamely stepped in to portray all three sisters.
Working closely with the hair and makeup artist, we developed three distinct personalities inspired by the wartime glamour of the Andrews Sisters — a sophisticated, glamorous sibling, a stern and practical older sister, and a younger, bookish character. Each look was carefully styled to establish a strong visual identity before the camera.
Photographing one person in three separate roles was only the beginning. In the days before AI-powered image editing, I painstakingly composited the final image by hand, refining facial features, posture and subtle details to further differentiate each sister while ensuring they appeared naturally together in the same scene. The result was a seamless campaign image that convincingly transformed a single model into three believable, individual characters.
